For my “Brother Andy” (who isn’t my brother) but who always insists I manage to capture his hometown so well. Hope you enjoy mate.
For everyone else, welcome to a brief pictorial stroll through the beautiful Shropshire market town of Shrewsbury. A longer article is sure to follow as I have 30+ more images not featured here as I restrained myself to a lucky 9 from the castle to the library, an abbey that’s welcomed pilgrims since the year 1083 and the town’s magnificent water and flower gardens. I played cricket with fallen apples from a tree, returned a football to a bunch of teenagers with all the grace and skill of Kenny Dalglish in his pomp and I fell in love whilst smoking a cigarette and admired a trio of paddle boarders roll on by on the river of life and indeed, the river Severn below me.
But we don’t have time for tales of such gibberish at this time and certainly not today.
Maybe tomorrow?
Who knows.
I hope you enjoy the pictorial stroll that follows but first, can I point you in the direction of one of my brother’s favourite songs?
