Star Date: 16th February 2024.
Venue: “Her Majesty”, Ironbridge Gorge, A World Heritage Site
Reason: “They say it’s yer birthday!”
Companion: “I Me Mine”
Lyrics: “Golden Slumbers”
Why? It’s my beautiful son’s favourite Beatles song
Jeremy, the genial Welshman who isn’t from Wales was present and correct in my favourite shop in all of toytown and Sam, the flirtatious madam of the chip shop next door, was resplendent as ever with the beaming smile that hides the pain of supporting her husband’s failing football team, Tottenham Hotspur. It was unseasonably warm for a winter’s stroll beside the River Severn. My spiritual home welcomed me with open arms as she so often does. It was my birthday, 52 not out in this bizarre holographic universe we all share.
I was with “Mother Nature’s Son”.
and all was right with the world once more.
“Once, there was a way
To get back homeward
Once, there was a way
To get back home
Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby”

“Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby”
“Once, there was a way
To get back homeward
Once, there was a way
To get back home
Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby”

Thanks for reading and I hope you’ve enjoyed this pictorial stroll.
I just finished one of your wonderful articles and now read this one. Beautiful photographs. Now I want to see that bridge. <sigh> And you looked very dashing in that last photo!
Happy belated birthday.
