I captured the above image at my local pond as the sun began to set on another midweek evening last week and quite frankly, it’s too beautiful not to share.
On this very evening I was sitting on a bench nearby, reading my current book (“The Tipping Point” by Malcolm Gladwell) and dreaming the dreams of dreamers. I’m a dreamer and I never learn and I was reminded of this wonderful song, and a song I obsess over almost as much as I do the combined creators, Radiohead. I could explain why, but where’s the fun in that? All I know is there’s a “white room, by a window, where the sun, comes through…”
“Dreamers
They never learn
They never learn
Beyond the point
Of no return
Of no return
Then it’s too late
The damage is done
The damage is done
This goes
Beyond me
Beyond you
A white room
By a window
Where the sun comes
Through
We are
Just happy to serve
Just happy to serve
You”
Songwriters: Philip Selway, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, Thom Yorke and Colin Greenwood of Radiohead
Thanks for reading. Here’s a little more sunshine, courtesy of a fan of my books and writing, and an image I hold dear to my heart:
