After weeks of waiting for my “Author’s Copy” (Author’s Copy!) it finally arrived from the other side of the world, and I’ve already changed the cover once more! So please don’t judge this particular book by its cover as after yet more revisions and formatting and pushing past the infuriating teething problems that beset publishing your own book (and with zero knowledge or experience on my part), the above is now perfect, correct and set in stone forever more.
I’ve struggled more than a little with this self-publishing lark and every time I believe I’m there and satisfied I revisit the manuscript and see an error or a printing mistake, but after changing the cover for a final time, this book, my first, is in place forever more.
The book takes a diary form across the entirety of the recent FIFA World Cup in Qatar and is sprinkled with anecdotes and personal stories in amongst the footballing story and a World Cup Final for the ages.
