A pictorial stroll beside the River Severn.
Firstly, if I’ve snared any rowing fans by the title of this article (and let’s face facts, considering the size of my audience it’s highly, highly unlikely) but if I have, please accept my apologies as I intended the cover the weekend’s Regatta on the River Severn but it was as busy and hectic as I’ve ever seen this tiny, sleepy town on the banks of the river and so, as you’ll discover shortly, I said hello to a cheerful lion sat on a bridge instead.
As it was far, far too busy and next to zero space in which to capture any meaningful action and the races were disappearing toward Shrewsbury rather than Ironbridge (I’m guessing it’s next to impossible to race through Ironbridge but the images would be spectacular if they did!), I instead ventured on a walk I’ve completed hundreds upon hundreds of times and because I believe I’ve captured a brief glimpse of the splendour and picturesque beauty of Ironbridge once more, I thought I’d present these to you as a pictorial stroll, and I sincerely hope you enjoy.
