Continuing on a theme of the Summer so far, I twisted my son’s arm with the promise of breakfast and bacon sandwiches beside the River Severn on a gorgeous morning yet again in mid June and because I’m in love with this tiny piece of heaven on earth, we returned once more later in June as you’ll discover at the denouement of this article. I’ve been visiting this World Heritage accredited site for nearly a quarter of a century, was lucky to live there for a few years in the most recent decade and miss not living there still.
So the next best thing is to visit regularly and take the walk along the river side my son and I have now jointly enjoyed hundreds of times together and with only minimal added colour commentary from me, I’ll leave you to enjoy this pictorial stroll through some English history.
