I am pleased and proud to announce my third book on cricket, and now a cricketing hat-trick if you will, is now available from Amazon on Kindle (and FREE to read if you have an Amazon Kindle “Unlimited” package) and via hardback and paperback.
"Tea and Biscuits in India" - Available via Amazon
240 pages cover England’s woeful performance at the 2023 ICC World Cup in India as well as their subsequent 5 Test Match tour of India from January through March of this year. The book loosely follows the pattern of my first book on cricket “Ashes to Ashes” in as much as I record and report on the action in my own inimitable way, and whilst watching cricket through the night, night after night, I throw in some rambling musings on the world, other sports, trips to the cinema, time well spent with my beautiful son and numerous trips to the waterways, rivers and canals of central England.
I’ll expand more once I have the “author copy” of my book to show off, but here’s the blurb on the reverse cover of another book I’m justly proud of:
“50 something unabashed fan of the majesty of Test Match cricket and when not watching the grand old game through the night with a fresh cup of tea and a pack of chocolate biscuits I can be found in the company of the “Grand Old Lady” of Ironbridge, my beautiful son or, if I’m feeling particularly lucky, both”
“Today saw the glorious spectacle of not one, not even two but three matches of the grand old game spanning the end of one cold and dark night here in England before finally ending way past the crack of dawn, the consumption of bacon and egg sandwiches and the clock ticking towards noon of another day that will end or indeed begin if you prefer, with this joyous sporting rigmarole commencing in earnest all over again.
Oh the joys of Test Match cricket”.
“Welcome to watching England “through the night” and their ignominious defence of the 2023 ICC World Cup and the toughest assignment in world cricket, a 5 Test Match tour of India”.
So there you have it! Here are two cricket books I prepared earlier, both free to read if you have “Unlimited” package on Amazon, and both mighty fine reads. Treat yourself!
