So begins the inaugural episode of “The Blackford Book Club” and my first ever Youtube channel. My 126th mid-life crisis has led me to this, the creation of a Youtube channel to showcase (showcase!) my self published books and my bumbling and occasional stumbling over the reading of them. Picture your humble narrator sitting in the corner of a room surrounded by books and the madness of Salvador Dali as he reads passages from his first three self published books in a natural, raw and uncut one shot way that is far from perfect but full of love and self deprecating humour as I read aloud the very words I’ve penned in three books I’m incredibly proud of.

There are currently 15 videos available covering my first three self-published books and I’m incredibly excited to announce that my fourth book “The Spirit of Cricket” has arrived in hardback from the Good Ole’ US of A this very afternoon and so 5 more videos covering this book are planned for this weekend but as I’m a child, I’ll no doubt record these far sooner! So they may very well be up and available by the time you read this article and if not, they soon will be.
As stated earlier I have zero desire to sit around after the fact adding title slides or bamboozling any and everyone with graphics and silly thrills. The videos are, and will continue to be in the future, raw, in the moment readings of a chapter or an elongated passage from books I never truly believed I’d ever write and I have.
It’s just me and my mate Salvador Dali, larking around!
Naturally I’m seeking likes and subscribers and should you have a channel yourself I will of course reciprocate. I’m also seeking sales of my books to poke traditional publishers in the eye for not even bothering to read my manuscripts!
