A little shameless self-promotion!
The odyssey is over and here’s a little self promotion to mark the occasion.
After having penned my thoughts on individual films and larger career retrospectives on directors such as Quentin Tarantino through to the time twisting mania of Christopher Nolan, the gothic horrors of Tim Burton or the geniuses that are The Coen Brothers, I’ve compiled an A-Z of the favourite film reviews I’ve written in the past decade, but not always my favourite films. Being the ever contrarian, I enjoy indulging myself and writing about terrible films just as much as I relax into a masterpiece.
So with a newly created Amazon Kindle account I thought I’d release these in alphabetical volumes covering roughly 3/5ths of the total amount of film reviews at my disposal. Here’s a handy link:

If you have the “all you can eat buffet” version on Kindle or as I believe it to be known, the “Unlimited” package, you can read any or all of these absolutely free and whilst I’d like to think that someone in this galaxy is going to pay for any of these volumes, well, it costs nothing to dream.
Anyway, if you’re a voracious reader and you have the Unlimited thingamajig, I’d be honoured if you dipped in and out of your favourite films or any others that take your fancy. Feedback would be marvellous if you did but a word of warning, despite my best efforts, offering blood sacrifices to the Gods, smoke signals, carrier pigeons and far too many tears that a 51 year old man should really admit to in polite society, I simply haven’t managed to figure out the “Table of Contents” (TOC) thing on the Kindle. I’ve tried, as God’s witness I’ve bloody tried. I even downloaded the Kindle Create and by jiminy, that is a magic trick Ladies and Gentlemen! TOC duly created and file is exported, but where, only the Gods above know. But there is a TOC, it works, it just looks ugly, so please bypass it or just pinch your nose when you use it.
My first book is also now available on the Kindle for free or via hardback or paperback and because I’m incredibly kind, here’s a link for that too:
Diary From The 2022 FIFA World Cup: A Qatari Odyssey From An English Mid Winter
27 lengthy daily diary entries from the very beginning of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Sunday 20th November 2022 through…www.amazon.com
Two further books are in manuscript form and ready to go and will be self published IF I don’t receive some positive news from a traditional publisher here in England I’m currently begging them to publish them. Both opus editions on Liverpool Football Club and the England Cricket team and both have been poured over, read and re-read to distraction and I just hope those Gods that I keep disparaging smile on me.
Time will tell
It always does.
Tally Ho for now. Two film reviews in the works to be published over the weekend and I’m planning more travel articles as the weather here in the UK is slowly building to Summer like temperatures. I’ve also applied for the writer’s “badge” here. Takes weeks apparently. Weeks!
What larks!
As always, thanks for reading.
