Star Date: Friday 19th July 2024
Destination: Ironbridge Gorge
Reason: Someone had turned up the sun at last here in England
Reason Number 9: Well someone has to feed the ducks!
Highlights: Three different people loved my tattoo of Salvador Dali, I stood and watched the beginning and then the end of an incredible painting of Ironbridge by a local artist, there was of course the obligatory box of piping hot chips and I spent a beautiful hour dangling my feet and legs in the River Severn on the hottest day of the day hence far. Oh, and there was a dog on a paddle board. A dog! On a paddle board! Hooray!
Quote of the Day: “I love your orange trainers!” (They’re Red! Kind of)
Book for the day: “Gonzo — The Life of Hunter S Thompson”
Tunes: “Don’t Believe The Truth” by Oasis
Song from the album: “Turn Up The Sun”
Favourite all time song: “Whatever”
Favourite all time song Vol.2: “Half The World Away”
Favourite all time song Vol.3: “D’yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?”
Stranger: “Ooo, I love your orange trainers”
Me: “They’re Red” (laughing)
Stranger: “No they’re not! They’re orange!”
Me: “They’re supposed to be Red”
Stranger: “Ooo, I LOVE your tattoo! Who is it?”
Me: “Salvador Dali, the surrealist Spanish artist”
Stranger: “Oh. Well I love your trainers!”
Anyway, enough of this gibberish. Here’s my spiritual home of Ironbridge once more, this time on a beautiful Friday 19th July 2024

Is Fred related to Bob, or is Mary swanning around? And those chips look pretty good for being 160 years old. 🤪
