I don't think Tom Hanks has ever had a movie taken away from him quite like Hoffman does here. The movie's got Hanks and Julia Roberts, and the nuclear blast of Philip Seymour Hoffman turns them into damned shadows.
Thanks (again) for reading. My love for all things Tom Hanks has waned dramatically over the years and his performance/portrayal here is perhaps apt in that regard as I hated it! Said it all in my review so I won't rehash it here. But this was my first viewing of PSH in this movie and I love that he dominates (nearly) every scene he's in and (almost) rescues a film I found detestable!
