Thanks for adding to the post Jordan. Can’t disagree (except that The Big Lebowski and Fargo are the Coen’s greatest achievements in my myopic eyes) but I adore this film after struggling initially to love it. “The Mayor of MacDougall Street” book by Dave Van Ronk loosely ties in to the movie too. Brilliant read.
Thanks mate. As ever, you enhance my article and expand my knowledge. Not much of a Dylan fan and I know in my heart I should be. Still have a "Greatest Hits" CD I bought in my college days but never ventured into his album catalogue. The book the film is based on "Mayor of Mac Dougall Street" is highly recommended and Dylan is referenced numerous times. Thanks for reading David.
I’m so glad to see love for this movie. It’s my favorite Coen brothers movie and one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.

Dylan recorded a song with a "Fare thee well, my honey" motif during his early Columbia sessions- the song in the movie is clearly an homage to that.
