Knowing that "You'll Never Walk Alone" is used in an entirely different context than what it was intended for by its composers, by people who probably have never heard of the Broadway musical it came from, is a disturbing enough image for me.

British sports fans create songs for their teams; North Americans just (mis)appropriate old rock hits.

Oh the English are just as bad. I used to LOVE "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond, but that song is now bastardised by everyone and it's grown old very quickly! Even more contemporary songs are ruined but, as an older gentleman, this tends to pass way over my head!!!
