Yeah, I'm not a Jackson fan. Honestly, his poor direction of the "Lord of the Rings" series ruined it for me; it was full of visual cliches and sequences that were straight out of bad 1970s made for TV movies or cheap action films. In my opinion his oscar was for Tolkien's story, which is so good even Jackson couldn't ruin it.

I've never seen a film directed by him that I liked.

He got a love for the Lord of the Rings but I agree this was heavily slanted in appreciation for Tolkien's story. Still have fond(?) memories of watching "Bad Taste" in my college years and wondering what on earth I was watching!

His direction in “Fellowship” was so bad I was pisding people off in the theater because I was doing a play-by-play “oh look, next there’ll be this long, lingering glance between Frodo and Aragon…then the platform will start collapsing…then the bad guy will fall and impale himself…” My wife got really mad at me..😂

I didn’t make it through ten minutes of “The Two Towers,” I had to turn it off. Never saw the last one.

I enjoyed the storied innocence of the first film and enjoyed watching the trilogy at the cinema but very little lingers in the memory and......as I haven't written about the films means I obviously have no love for them. My general rule of thumb!
